Pacific Gas & Electric News

REACH Triple Match Program: To help support more customers facing past-due energy bills, PG&E is expanding the eligibility requirements and benefits offered by the Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH) program. The program helps qualifying customers pay their past-due energy bill to prevent service disconnections. The REACH Triple Match program provides customers who make a payment with a bill credit to help further reduce their balance. The program broadens the eligible customers who can receive a 3-to-1 match. For example, a household of four with an income of $120,000 a year could qualify for assistance. PG&E encourages eligible customers to sign up. Income-eligible customers could save 18% on their monthly electric bill by enrolling in the Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) Program. EL DORADO COUNTY TO BEGIN TRAIL CONSTRUCTION ALONG PONY EXPRESS TRAIL IN POLLOCK PINES

El Dorado County's Department of Transportation will be constructing a new pedestrian and bike path along Pony Express Trail between Sanders Drive and Sly Park Road beginning at the end of April or early May as part of the Pony Express Trail Bicycle, Pedestrian and ADA Improvements Capital Improvement Project. It is anticipated to be completed in September 2024.

Improvements include approximately 1.7 miles of Class II bike lanes on both sides of Pony Express Trail, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements, crosswalks and signage with flashing beacons, and drainage improvements along Pony Express Trail within the project limits.

This work will result in temporary shoulder and lane closures along Pony Express Trail with flagging. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone to arrive at their destinations on time.

For questions regarding this construction, please contact the County's Transportation main line at (530) 621-5900 (select Option 3 for Engineering).

New online tool to access information about proposed, in-progress and approved County development projects: Called "Projects in Your Area," it includes a description of the project, the type of application and when it was submitted, the zoning and elevation, the applicant, assigned planner’s name, a status bar, pertinent documents and maps, and more. the designated General Plan Land use. One great advantage is to be able to see current projects in relationship to each other on the map. This is the first iteration of the site; it will include additional information as needed.
