The bronze Tribute to the Heroes of the Caldor Fire is a way to express collective, lasting gratitude to organizations and people who stepped forward to fight the fire, provide support, shelter fire victims, and care for their animals.

In August and September 2021, The Caldor fire burned 221,775 acres over 347 square miles. Almost 800 structures were lost. The fire consumed nearly 2/3 of the Grizzly Flats community. Scores of firefighting teams on land and in the air fought the fire for more than two months. Law enforcement, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers stepped up to help as 53,000 people were evacuated from their homes.

50 Grand Restaurant & Bar has been a local, family run, casual/fine dining & cocktail establishment since 1943! Generations have made 50 Grand their go to dining establishment for weekly dates, a night out with friends, birthdays, proms, rewards after a hard day’s work, and even quite a few proposals! We plan on continuing those traditions.

Since 2018, we’ve offered locally sourced American fare like ribs, steaks, fish, pastas, salads, house made desserts, beers, and local wines. Our goal is to celebrate everything local, while also promoting the history of the area. The Lake Room, our banquet area, accommodates up to 103 guests, for weddings, company parties, family and class reunions, or company presentations. 50 Grand offers many dining choices to suit your needs.

With our new state of the art, 1500 sq ft, kitchen, we promise to continue to bring comfort food to a whole new level. We aim to have you leave and say, “Wow, that was an amazing meal.” Our friendly staff will make you feel treasured and welcome, as it should be. Our motto is “Making GRAND memories together,” come in, and start making memories at 50 Grand Restaurant & Bar @ 6401 Pony Express Trail in Pollock Pines.
