Pacific Gas & Electric News
If you went without power for 48 hours or longer due to a storm or other major weather-related event, you may qualify for a PG&E Storm Inconvenience Bill Credit. If you are eligible, you do not need to apply. You will automatically receive a bill credit on your PG&E Energy Statement. Check eligibility here. PG&E issues Storm Inconvenience Bill Credits in increments of $25, with a $100 maximum bill credit per storm.
Bill Credit levels are based on the length of your outage:
48 to 72 hours: $25
72 to 96 hours: $50
96 to 120 hours: $75
120 hours or more: $100
PG&E BILL MANAGEMENT |
Starting in March 2026, PG&E will restructure energy bills by separating the costs of some services from the price per kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity usage. This change, called Base Services Charge, will lower the price per kWh, making it more affordable to transition to clean-powered electric appliances. Most customers will pay around $24 per month, while those on certain income‑qualified programs will pay approximately $6 - $12 per month. Read more here. |
