Visit Sherwood Garden! Open Garden Day - Sherwood Demonstration Garden is open the first Saturday of the month, November through February, weather permitting. Come and take a leisurely stroll through all 16 themed gardens. Docents are on-site to assist you with any questions regarding Sherwood Demonstration Garden or your personal garden. May be closed for inclement weather or poor air quality - check before visiting

Parking permits required, purchase a $2 permit at any kiosk.

Pressure Can Your Own Turkey Broth - Make & Take Workshop - Dec 6, 9am-1pm. In this hands-on pressure canning workshop, you will bring in your own homemade turkey broth, made in advance, from your holiday turkey (we send you a recipe) and we will help you pressure can it. You may bring your own pressure canner or use one of ours. You will be guided through the pressure canning process, step-by-step, by our MFP volunteers. This class is suitable for beginner and advanced home canning. Cost: $25. Location: Bethel-Delfino Agriculture Building, 311 Fair Lane, Placerville.  This is an in-person event. Please register. We will email you a recipe for broth. Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in. The doors will be locked for everyone’s security once class has started. You will need a parking permit for the lot; please check your email the week of class for a reminder and a permit.

Weather permitting the Placerville Ranger District will be conducting prescribed fire operations in the upper Mormon Emigrant Trail and Silver Fork areas. With in the burn window of December 1st-12th we will be targeting 329 acres of the Iron Trails project.

The units consist of medium size machine piles built from hazard trees post Caldor fire.

You are invited to enjoy a hot, nutritious meal, Monday through Friday at any of the Senior Dining Centers listed below. Lunch is served from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. for the suggested voluntary contribution of $3.00 per meal for adults 60 years and older. Monday through Friday at the
